CLASSIC 11 DAY TOUR

 

On this exciting 11 days tour take in the major highlights of Israel including Tel Aviv, the Golan Heights, Jerusalem, Gush Etzion  and the Dead Sea area, blending each day with sites of major historical significance together with new modern attractions

 

Day 1 – Monday – Airport Transfer

WELCOME TO ISRAEL

  • You will be greeted at the plane by our VIP representative who will drive you to passport control where you will go through the passport express lane, assist you with your luggage and out to your waiting airport transfer
  • Check in to the hotel – freshen up and relax– prepare yourselves for a truly enjoyable trip

Day 2 – Tuesday – Guide & Vehicle

  • After breakfast meet your guide and start the day at Ayalon Institute Museum, watch the audio visual presentation and discover the secret entrance to the underground bullet factory, so successfully disguised from the British
  • Moving on to the spectacular Palmach Museum, through a modern multimedia presentation view the history of the Palmach from 1941 to the War of independence and the establishment of the State of
  • Hall of Independencethe Historic Hall where Ben Gurion established the State of Israel
  • Visit old Jaffa port, the most important port of ancient times, Jaffa flea market & browse through an array of stores offering exotic items, selling hookahs, antique furniture, silver jewelry and an endless array of knick knacks

 Day 3 – Wednesday – Guide & Vehicle

  • Visit the ancient city of Caesarea where we will visit the Caesarea National Park which contains an impressive Roman Amphitheatre and the Hippodrome – a 20,000 seat horse racing arena
  • Enjoy a winery tour & chocolate tasting at Tishbi Winery
  • Moving on to Knights Hall in Akko, built by the Hospitallers at the beginning of the 12th century, after the Crusaders captured the city
  • Further north stop at Rosh Hanikrahthe northernmost point on the coast. Cable car down from the mountain to the sea and explore the amazing Grotto’s
  • Check in & dinner at your hotel

 Day 4 – Thursday – Guide & vehicle

  • Buckle up and enjoy an exciting Jeep ride through the Lower Golan, a beautiful area known for its history & scenery
  • Visit the De Karina Chocolate factory, a South American family run business for generations, enjoy making your own pralines
  • Moving on to Oz 77 at Kibbutz El Romoverlooking the valley of the fierce Yom Kippur war where the 177 Israeli tanks were significantly outnumbered by the 1500 Syrian tanks.
  • Mount Bental Overlook, enjoy the panoramic view of Mount Hermon, the Druze villages, a couple of old bunkers & trenches
  • Tour the mystical city of Tzfat, walk through the cobblestone alleyways, visit the ancient synagogues, the Artists quarter where some of the country’s finest art is displayed
  • Dinner at your hotel

 Day 5 – Friday – Guide & Vehicle 

  • Visit the City of Tiberius, the ancient city that sits on Israel’s main source of fresh water, the Sea of Galilee.
  • Enjoy a relaxing Cruise on the Lake Kinneret, Israel’s most important source of rain water
  • Visit the Beit Shean National parkwith super rich history dating back to the times of King David & King Solomon, Alexander the Great & the Roman period, also a popular archeological site with many recent findings
  • Walk through the Machne Yehuda marketplace, test your bargaining skills and watch as Jerusalem prepares for the Shabbat
  • Shabbat dinner at your hotel

Day 6 – Saturday – FREE DAY

  • Rest up from your week of touring
  • In the evening enjoy the Tower of David Night Spectacularwhere the story of Jerusalem comes to life through light & sound
  • Choose from the Many restaurants in the famous Mamilla Mall or downtown, where Jerusalem comes to life

Day 7 – Sunday – Guide & Vehicle

  • Start the day with the breathtaking Ramparts walk on the old city walls, where you get to really see Jerusalem from up top and the old city
  • Enjoy a short walking tour of the old city of Jerusalem
  • Tour the amazing City of David start with a breathtaking observation overlooking Biblical Jerusalem and observe 3,800 years of history dating back to the days of Abraham, when the first foundations of the city were laid.
  • Visit the Davidson Excavation Center The new center offers visitors an exhibition of archaeological objects, the real time virtual reality reconstruction of the Herodian Temple,
  • Descend to the tour of the archeological discoveries excavated at the Western Wall Tunnels. Inside, a most interesting model shows the different dwelling periods and history of the inhabitants of Jerusalem

Day 8 – Monday – Guide & Vehicle

  • Start the day at Genesis Land, enjoy Pita baking, hop on to a camel and don’t forget to snap a picture
  • Moving on to Masada National Park, ascend the cliff top fortress by cable car / hike – explore the ancient remains of the fortifications, King Herod’s Palace, storerooms and baths
  • Continue along the Dead Sea, the lowest point on earth and a rich source of minerals for export. Take a swim or float and let the buoyant waters support you.
  • Enjoy a beautiful hike at the Ein Gedi National park, getting wet in the natural waterfall

Day 9 – Tuesday, Dec 30 – Guide & Vehicle

(Option for Rachel Tomb & Hebron Visit with Armored vehicle)

  • Heading towards Gush Etzion, start the day at Kfar Etzion multimedia presentation explaining the full history and significance of Gush Etzion and its surroundings
  • Strap yourselves as we take beautiful route rich with history Self Drive Dune Buggies – off road into the Jerusalem Mountains
  • Moving on to Gush Etzion we will visit Deer Land, buckle up for the longest Zip line in Israel
  • Drive to Calibre 3 Shooting range, internationally renowned Anti- Terrorism combat training. Participate in anti-terrorism tactic training and learn to shoot from a pistol (hands on experience)

 Day 10 – Wednesday – Guide & Vehicle

  • Start the day at Ammunition Hill where the story of the battle for Jerusalem took place, the site includes original trenches and bunkers, an observation Point,  interactive light show presentation about Jerusalem's Six Day War with a full scale model of Jerusalem on the eve of the Six Day War
  • Visit the Yad Vashem Museum, a memorial to the 6 million innocent victims of the Holocaust. Using original artifacts and based on thousands of testimonies from survivor.
  • Choose of the many Jerusalem Neighborhoods (Meah Shearim & Geula, Yemin Moshe etc.)
  • Visit the Israel Museum, the country’s largest, has just completed a major renewal, the better to show off the marvels of its Art Wing, Shrine of the Book exhibit of the Dead Sea Scrolls, Youth Wing, Archeology, Judaica and Jewish Ethnography.

 Day 11 – Thursday – FREE DAY & Airport Transfer

  • Catch up on some last minute shopping, visit your family & friends,
  • Airport transfer for your departure flight
